On September 28th we took a trip to the Newport Aquarium to enhance our study of the ocean. It was a fantastic experience.
Enjoy the photos below.

The tide pool - horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs and starfish could be found here.
A diver in the tank spoke to us about the aquarium.

Not a job for me...in the tank with the shark...do you see his teeth?
Lionfish, Piranha and Rockfish

Alex is standing on the glass floor above the alligators.

Checking out the otters

Otter's and birds, too cool!!

Molly reaches out to touch the fish.

Shark
I went to
the aquarium,
And in a tank so dark,
I saw a smooth and swimmy shape,
And knew it was a shark.
I went to
the aquarium,
And through a wall of glass,
I saw that shark and thought—
Oh! What a lot of teeth he has!
He swam
around so quietly,
He swam around so quick—
I'm awfully glad,
That his tank had
That wall of glass, so thick!

Shark petting was a favorite and below are some shark sacs. Chandler pointed out how you could see movement inside.

It was a great trip.
